Valentines for daddy

Happy Valentines Day!

Menu plan Monday and shopping trip roundup

Its been awhile since I have posted a meal plan. Doesn't mean that I haven't been planning. I just have been so busy that I ha vent been taking the time to post. I went over a bit the last few weeks but still am coming in close to budget for the month. i still have to input receipts into the excel spreadsheet but will get back to you for my February total. So here is whats on deck for this week.

M - Three cheese chicken penne
T - Big Apple french toast casserole
W - Chili (from the freezer) and homemade cornbread
TH - Chicken and cheese enchiladas
F - Creamy garlic chicken pasta with mixed vegetable
S - Homemade pizza
S - Crockpot taco soup

I am also trying out a new lunch recipe this week Potato and leek soup

Shopping so much to list so little time. I did some stocking up this week so you see lots of eggbeaters, sausage and bread. Eggbeaters are great to freeze. I had a bunch of $1.00 off coupons on them and Winco sells them really cheap to begin with so I made sure to get enough to last us since its an almost everyday staple in our house. I have something like 25 containers of it frozen in the deep freeze.

I also did my bread shopping for the next couple of months. there is enough to last us probably till the end of may in sandwich bread and for just over a month on English muffins and rolls. Remember I like to make my own homemade rolls too, But you cant beat free! At the bread outlet you get to pick free items depending on the dollar amount spent this week I was able to get 4 free items, 2 free packages of cookies, and some doughnut holes for the boys.

Bread outlets are a great place to get bread really cheap. instead of paying a over $3 a loaf price at the store I average about $1.25 each instead. And dont forget the free stuff!

So my total for this week including things I "stocked" up on was $121.22 definatly over but I will save money over time since I wont have to ourchase some items for a long while!

Surprise!

I had a birthday. I thought it would pass in the usual fashion. Not this year, people got sneaky. So instead of a quite dinner out with Brian, I walked into a party, a party all for me! I was so shocked. Usually I am the one that throws all the parties and pulls one over on someone else. I am to smart to be surprized. well maybe not. Thank you Brian and Sandra for putting this all together, I really had a great time. For those keeping count, 35 and proud!

SURPRIZE!

What a sweet guy.

No pictures please! Ashley and Darrin

Mom had put together a bunch of photo albums showing pictures of me growing up till now, very cool!

Getting lost

Sunny Friday in Seattle. Driving in the car, with no real destination. so what do we decide to do? Bremerton ferry!

One of the things I love most about Seattle is the ferries. You drive on one side and get off at a new adventure. Once off the hour long ferry ride we got some lunch and then the boys napped in the car while Brian and I drove.

We didn't take our GPS on this trip and just kinda winged where we drove and meandered around the back roads. It reminded me of the years before we married and we would just like to take drives together to nowhere in particular. Talking, laughing and just relaxing. Things have changed so much over the years, but this took us back.

Packed in like sardines we are!

Where the heck? What the heck? Where the heck?

Where the heck have I been? I haven't posted anything in 2 weeks and before that it was only grocery shopping stuff. I feel like I have so neglected my poor little blog and I am so sorry. Do you need a hug blog? We have been lots of places, the park, the museum, school, riding bikes you name it. my little sister joined the Navy, Eli went to his first hockey game, Brian and I saw the roller derby! Oh and I am still looking for a job, and going to boot camp workouts three days a week. So I guess we have just been busy. But things are slowing down again, at least for a few days!

What the heck is wrong with people! While at the park playing with the boys about 2 weeks ago, some LOSER decided to break the window of our car and get in and steal what he could. That included my purse, credit cards, ID and my point and shoot camera. Oh and I should mention that the purse was my brand new not even a month old very first coach leather purse. BOO. Within 15 minutes this LOSER was able to spend over $1000 on my credit cards, that was faster than I could call the issuers and cancel them. thankfully that's all he got and he wasn't able to get anything from our actual bank account. but what a headache this has all been for me, not to mention the nerves that I have now knowing some LOSER had all my info, house keys, car keys and personal pictures (on the sim card) we changed all the locks, and got everything as back to normal as we can, but I still feel Leary when I hear a knock at my door. I hope that nobody reading this blog ever has to go through this.

Today is my birthday. I am 35 years young. My wonderful husband got me a new point and shoot camera, that is sooooo nice! better than the one that was stolen. I am so happy he got me this and cant wait to get back to shooting pictures of everything my wonderful children (snicker, snort) do. My mom surprized me with a new coach purse, thanks mom! I feel very pampered and loved. Now where the heck is my cake?
