Fun in the Sun

Yay, we got a warm day. Actually it was hot! It made it above 80. This year summer has been a bust so we take what we can get when we can get it. Today was such a day. I pulled out the sprinkler to do some double duty. Fun for boys, water for the veggies. I love how they aren't afraid to put their faces right in the sprinkler stream.

Day out with Thomas the Tank Engine

Whooo Whooo, all aboard for fun. Today we traveled to the island of Sodor and had the best of time meeting our really useful friend Thomas. Grandma had purchased tickets for Brian the boys and I to go on the Thomas train ride that comes through Seattle every year. It wasn't a long ride but it was so fun and the boys thought it was just the greatest that Thomas was real and he was really big! Its so fun to watch them grow and I love making these memories that will last forever as they will soon out grow so many of these childhood hero's for more grown up ones.

Tickets please

What a view!

Since we were there we also saw Snoqualmie falls.

Who is that I see?

A perfect ending to a perfect day.

Independance Day

In past years we have spent the forth floating on the water relaxing the day away. this year however the boat has been sold and we can no longer float away with ease. We did however still spend some time getting wet. It was a beautiful day in the Pacific Northwest, a rarity this summer, and we took a bike ride down to the beach for a picnic and to play in the tide pools. The water was warm and the sand was dirty, or is it just that boys attract dirt? Either way it was the way it should be and we had a great time.

Afterwards we headed to Auntie Sandra's boat for dinner and some fun on the docks. unfortunately we all were tuckered out from a day in the sun and decided to call it a night early and were all asleep by nine. In all fairness the forth was on a Monday and Brian and I had to work in the morning.

oh and as usual every celebration around here requires treats!
