Kai's Big Boy Bed

Eli loves to climb into Kai's crib and sleep and play with his brother. I unfortunately am scared that during the climbing process someone might get hurt. Kai is almost ready to climb out and all that up and over has broken the side rail and its just a matter of time before someone falls. So to prevent all this Brian and I decided that at only 15 months old Kai was ready to sleep in a big boy bed just like his big brother.

Got our tools!

First night before the crib was taken out

Sleeping like a .....well......Baby

Its kind of bittersweet to not have "baby"stuff around anymore, and even though Kai is still a baby, he sure does his best to keep up with his older brother. Kinda sad to think that their room now looks like to little guys live there instead of what they really are, my babies!

Lumberjacks can wear pink, right?

Brian's mom had some issues with a huge oak tree in her yard and down it needed to come. So after the tree guys were there Brian and I went over to help mom out and bust it up into enough firewood to keep her house toasty for the next few years!

Kai's first haircut

On January 2ND we took Kai in for his first haircut. I didn't think he needed one but Brian kept complaining of the hippy hair on the back of his head, so we made a date with Moby for quick little snip. When Eli got his first haircut there was not even a tear (and based on children of friends, I was ready for lots) so I expected for Kai to be just as great. well there were some tears but not all out screaming in fear stuff, just a little bit of nerves I think. In the end we got that little curl for the baby book and no more hippy hair.
Thought we would try it on his own

Fail!

On to daddy's lap we go
