Arlington Fly-In 2010

once again we had a great time at the EAA's airshow in Arlington. We didn't spend as much time there as usual but we did catch the show on Saturday. The weather was hot and sunny and Eli really had a blast. Kai wasn't as interested but he's still young, he will learn!

It was hot and we thought it would be fun to take the boys to the spray park. This was Kai's first time there since last year (he couldn't walk then)and being the sea turtle he is he loved it!

On July 3rd we got together with Melissa, Tony and Vinny to celebrate Melissa's birthday. Months ago she mentioned a rainbow cake that just made her smile. I wanted to see her smile so I made here this.

Run Mom Run

I ran the Bridle trails 5K again this year. One becuse my best friend Sandra really wanted to try a 5K and two becuse I wanted to see how much better I could do it this year.

I am down over 30 pounds from last years weight on race day and in so much better cardio health. I knew that I could do better and I did. last years time was 42:47 and this year I ran 36:44.

Not only did I run it in less time, it didnt hurt as bad as last year and I wasnt out of breath. Last year I walked at least a mile of it cause I just couldnt run the whole way. This year I ran the whole way and then even felt like I could keep going.

What a difference one year and 30+ pounds lost makes!

A day at the beach

In Washington the weather is never truly "beach weather" but we take what we can get. We had a really nice sunny day and the tides were out so we packed up the car and took a little trip to the beach in Mukilteo. This was Kai's first time at a beach (at least the he remembers) and took to it like the little water boy that he is.
