Kai is almost one!

So in honor of the little man turning one in two weekstoday we went and had some birthday photos taken at JCPenny. I made a cake in hopes that Kai would make a wonderful mess but he was just not that into it today. Maybe I shouldnt have given him breakfast before we went! oh well I am sure come his birthday party he will be a cake smshing pro! sneak peak at the photo shoot.

Just like a big boy!

Eli has become a daredevil. He is so in love with all the rides at the fairs. Who would have thought a 2 year old on a roller coaster!

Oyster Run 2009

Well the bike is for sale but I couldnt let it go without one last ride. So the last weekend of September is the big Oyster Run. Its a huge motorcycle rally that takes place in a town north of us. Pepole ride in from all over the place. Its kinda like our own little one day Sturgus. It was great and Brian and I had a awesome ride.

My kind of bike equiped with a car seat!

Where have I been!

Well life got a little crazy here for a while and well my poor blog has been neglected! In August I took Kai to Maine to meet his great Grandma. It was a wonderful trip and it felt great to be back in a place with so many memories and somewhere that still feels like home. I ate my body weight in Italian sandwiches (never know when I will get back, and had to get my fill) and of course had a night of yummy lobster! I wish I could transport my favorite things about Maine here to Washington, then I could truly live in the happiest place on earth! Here are some highlights from our trip.

Waiting for Kai's first flight. It was a red eye and thankfully he slept the whole time

Uncle Tony and his big nose!

Just one of the many reason I love Maine. Stunning!

Having a serious talk with Grandma!

The flight home. by now Kai is a seasoned pro!

This is a picture of a painting in my Grandma's living room. I never really new my dad and never saw any pictures of him as a boy but I can really see him in Eli's face! What do you think?

By the way Daddy dressed me in this pic! not mommy she has better taste!

Seafair 2009

We took the boys on a 4 day boat camping trip to Seafair. We stayed on the log boom during the day on Friday to watch the hydroplanes and Blue Angels perform and moored in Andrews Bay at night. The rest of the time we swam, and soaked in the sun. It was a great relaxing weekend and very much needed stress reliever.

Tacoma Washington

Brian had to work a weekend of overtime down in Tacoma back in July, so I decided to bring the boys down and get a hotel for the night. Brian had to leave early for work on Saturday. So I got up early and drove down to Tacoma and we went to the zoo while Brian worked. Eli had a great time seeing all the different animals and exhibits but I think his favorite thing was riding the camel! we had to ride it twice. Once with me (I wanted to make sure he wasn't scared) and once all by himself! It was a fun day but really hot and I was happy to meet up with Brian after he got off work and get into our air conditioned hotel room.

Its been a whirlwind

and I feel bad I havent posted any new pictures so here goes...........
