Childrens Museum with Grandma

Today was a special day at the museum because Grandma Stephanie came with us today. we go every week but she made it that much more fun! She played on all the exhibits with Eli and even help make him a race car in the construction room. Since the weather was nice before we left we went up to the roof and played on the jungle gyms.

Twinkle Toes

Ashley and I went out to get pedicures for her 26th birthday. It was so fun to get to catch up with her and of course to get pampered pretty feet! Happy Birthday Ashley!

Marysville Christmas Parade

The 20th annual Christmas parade was Saturday night. Its just a little local light parade with boy/girl scout troops and local businesses going down the street all lit up with lights but it is a fun time to be had anyway. Eli always loves a parade and even though it was bedtime he had a blast and stayed awake the whole time.








Santa of course was there too, his sleigh must have been in the shop cause he showed up on a firetruck!

Oh Christmas tree, Oh Christmas tree....

We decided Saturday to set out to get our Christmas tree since it wasn't supposed to rain. We always go to this farm out towards Granite Falls and it never fails that we find the perfect tree there. It's seems that we always spend more money cutting our own then we would if we went to a grocery store and purchased a tree, but then you miss out on the "expierence" and the precious memories. Eli really loved treking through the woods and playing ring around the Christmas tree with dad. I love that this memory will be just the first of many more warm Christmas memories to come with our boys.

Crafts with Vinny?

Tonight while Brian was at school we got together with Melissa and Vinny to make ornaments for our trees. The boys had lots of fun doing everything BUT making ornaments! Melissa and I still made the best of it and had some fun with paper, glue and glitter ourselves.











Oh and of course Kai was there too!

Monkey Munch

Grandma Stephanie and Jayda were coming over to babysit so that Brian and I could go to the movies. I wanted to make a special treat for the kids to snack on while we were gone so I made Monkey Munch.

Monkey Munch is a Chex cereal treat that remindes me of a childhood version of Chex Mix (Only better cause its chocolate!) I got the recipe of of a TV show called Jon & Kate + 8.

Eli had fun helping make it and I know that my little monkeys gobbled it all up!

Monkey Munch
9 cups Chex
1 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup butter
1/4 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar


- Put cereal in a large bowl
- Melt chocolate chips, peanut butter and butter. Remove from heat, and stir in vanilla
- Pour over cereal, put into a large plastic bag with powdered sugar, and shake well to coat the cereal
- Spread mixture evenly on wax paper and allow to cool.

Puberty already?

I woke up this morning and what do I find on little Eli's face? His first pimple! I must not have did a good enough job at washing his face after dinner last night because there it is plain as day for all the world to see. My little man is prepubesent!
